The Junior Women's Progressive Club met Thursday afternoon at Mrs. Otis Smith's home. Guests and members enjoyed puzzles and games followed by ice cream. Illness Strikes School Attendance In Runnels County
Miss Beulah White a Runnels County nurse worked in the community Tuesday April 13. An epidemic of chickenpox has lowered attendance in the primary room for weeks. Little Morris Nichols a second grader is seriously ill with pneumonia but improving. sixteen others are near the end of the term with danger noted.

Bell undergoes appendicitis operation in San Angelo
Thelma Jean Bell, daughter of Mr and Mrs E A Bell, had an appendectomy at a San Angelo hospital on Saturday night and is reported to be doing well. Mrs Taylor Shelton has been elected principal of Green Mountain school for next year.
