J B Olivas aged 21 of Bronte Texas arrives at Knox College Galesburg September 12 1943 for five months of Army Air Forces training. He will take academic work and elementary flight training and upon completion be classified as pilot navigator or bombardier before continuing to Flying Training Command schools.

The San Angelo Tractor Company promotes Ford tractors with the Ferguson System, inviting farmers to visit owner-manager L. W. Mills for information on farm implements and the Ferguson arrangement.
Second Lieut. Vernon PD Muson will complete training at the Army Air Base in Sioux City Iowa and be ready to go overseas to help defeat the enemy. He joined the service March 3 1942 and is the son of Mr and Mrs Andrew J Anaton of Bronte Texas.
The City Council of Bronte will hold a budget hearing on October 5 1945. The meeting in Bronte will adopt the budget for the 1943-1944 fiscal year and the public is invited to attend.
L. L. Morrison manager of the Morrison-Ely gin in Norton visited Bronte Tuesday and announced in The Enterprise that the gin will process cotton this season for 25 cents per hundred. He urged farmers and others to read the notice and notes the plant is pursuing new business opportunities.
