McCutchen and Black Exchange Wedding Vows in Bronte
Miss Carolyn Yvonne McCutchen wed Mickey Lynn Black in a Friday ceremony at First Methodist Church Bronte. The event featured white gladioli and mums, music by Mrs. Walter Phillips, and a reception in the church hall. The couple now reside in Dumas and Bronte families hosted pre wedding events.

First Baptist Ladies Observe Week of Prayer
The WMS held meetings at the church this week, with sessions at 9 30 a m on Monday and Tuesday and a Wednesday film strip during the usual prayer meeting hour. The week’s theme was Lord Make Me Aware with twelve attendees Monday and fifteen Tuesday. A WMS group also visited the Baptist Memorial Geriatrics Hospital in San Angelo for tours and lunch, joined by Mmes Muryl Johns Winnie Tidwell Olive Kreney Charlie Knierim Otis Smith Aubrey Denman M J Lasswell and Mattie Glenn.

Colorado River District seeks 1964 amendment in Coke County
The Texas Water Commission receives Colorado River Municipal Water District application No. 2162-A to move the dam site to near Robert Lee Texas, raise reservoir capacity by 85 060 acre feet and boost diversion rate to 70 000 gallons per minute. The plan includes municipal industrial and mining allocations and a recreation impoundment with hearings set for October 19 1964 in Austin.
