Scuba Diver Jean Kauanui to Speak at Bronte Assembly
Veteran diver Jean Kauanui, with over 1500 ocean dives, is to headline an assembly at Bronte School on Wednesday September 16. The program includes marine displays and diving equipment exhibits and recounts of shark eel and clam encounters. Admission is free and the event starts at 9 10 a m.

Bronte PTA Holds First Regular Meeting of Year
Bronte PTA met last Tuesday night for the first regular meeting of the new year. New president Elmer Hurley presided. Junior Girl Scout Troop No. 311 conducted the devotional and pledge, with Supt. C B Barbee introducing faculty and new PTA members. The program was supervised by Mrs. Noah Pruitt Jr, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Magness, and Mrs. Ernest Ivey, and presented by the Girl Scouts.
