Williams Funeral Home Keeps Bronte Legacy Alive
Sam Williams, longtime Coke County resident, becomes owner of Williams Funeral Home, continuing one of Bronte’s oldest continuous businesses. The Keeney and Clift families previously ran the shop, which traces back to 1906 when Frank Keeney bought Ed Schawe’s operation and entered funeral services. Williams also operates a similar venture in Robert Lee and previously worked in the local grocery trade and mail delivery.
