Bronte Hospital Marks 17 Years Under Dr Harris
Bronte Hospital, privately owned and operated by Dr. John R. Harris, celebrates 17 years of service in Coke County. Founded as Karen-Gayl Hospital in 1947 by J. M. Rippetoe, it began with seven beds and later moved to Harris’s ownership in 1951 after a period of leasing.
