Austin, Oct 28 A statement by Dr Geo W Cox State Health Officer reveals an intensified statewide education drive to control venereal disease. With many military forces in Texas the program will extend public information through newspapers radio lectures posters pamphlets and clinics. There are 188 treatment centers currently operating across the state.
If additional facilities are needed for the treatment of infected persons, more clinics will be established when the need is ascertained. Social educators, doctors, and case investigators from the State Department of Health will assist cities and communities in the state most urgently needing help.
