Visiting relatives from Pomona California to San Angelo Miles and Ballinger neighbors share weekend events. Residents attend parties, hospital visits, ball games and family gatherings across San Angelo Miles Ballinger Norton Sherman Lampasas Paint Rock and Houston. Several family members travel for doctors care and weekend visits.
Mr and Mrs Joe Simpson spent Houston to attend the 83rd Annual Convention of the Texas State Teachers Association. Simpson served as a delegate from district 11 and the program discussed Education Freedom's Fortress in three general sessions with speakers from California Trans World Airlines and the University of Tennessee. They then returned via Field Creek to pick up their children Joey and Denise visiting grandparents Mr and Mrs Von Simpson.
Recent weekend guests include Ike Billings of Del Rio and Mrs. David Dixon of San Antonio visiting Chester Harwell. Mrs. Clifford Clark resides in St Johns Hospital San Angelo. Lonnie Forman and family from Jal New Mexico visit Bronte. Bill Terry of Anson visits Bronte. Marvin Corley and Peggy visit Dimmit and attend the Texas Tech Baylor game in Lubbock Saturday night.
A large crowd attended a Saturday evening at the Tennyson community center for music and dominoes. Out of town guests included families from Abilene San Angelo Odessa Bronte Norton Sterling City Fort Worth Midland San Antonio and Austin. Local residents shared updates on hospital and funeral events, with attendance at the funeral of Mrs. Clara Woods of Austin.
In ill health for some time a community Halloween party is set for next Tuesday at 7 30. Refreshments will be served. Local visits include Pfe Leon McCarty of Fort Sill Oklahoma with family and friends at Cross Plains and San Angelo. Pattie Michele Feil born weighing 6 pounds 2 ounces to Mr and Mrs James Chambers of San Angelo with siblings and grandparents noted.
Mrs Wade Rees and Mrs A Z Pittman attended the 79th annual Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth last week. About 16 000 members participated with Gerald C Allen serving as Grand Patron and aiding in presiding.
