Delmir Morris Sheppard 49 of Midland died from a head wound at his trailer home. Funeral held at First United Methodist Church in Robert Lee with Rev A A Kendall officiating. Burial in Rupert Lee Cemetery. Survived by wife Audrey, four sons, a daughter, mother Norma, and siblings. Pallbearers named.

Kickapoo Dams Work Under Heavy Rains At Bronte
Flood retarding structures on the Kickapoo Creek watershed near Bronte functioned as designed during a flood. Water flowed through spillways and detentions pools, moderating downstream flow for over ten days. Dam near Bronte and a creek dam showed near emergency spillway levels but no failures occurred.
