The Union WHO Club met last Monday September 29 at Mrs Chiude Beavers home with co host Mrs Altha Jest aus. Members shared favorite subjects and reports from the Council meeting were given. The next gathering October 13 will feature president reports on annual activities and Sunshine Pals drawings. Visitors and children attended and local news notes include Nathan Donsky's anniversary and Nathan's jewelry store updates.

George Washington Peay, 86, longtime Coke County ranchman, died last Monday in Edith at his son Tom Peay's home from a heart attack. Funeral services were held Tuesday in Paint Creek Cemetery with Rev. J H Estes of Rob ert Lee Methodist Church officiating. Clift Funeral Home handled final arrangements. Surviving: sons Tom of Edith W B of Midland Felix of Edith. daughter Mrs Addie Augustine of Sterling City. eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Carol Dean Westbrook a Mary Hardin Baylor student from Belton is expected home tomorrow. Mr and Mrs Westbrook say she will be glad to get home. The family notes she has been away for an unspecified reason and expresses relief at her return.
