Texas Education Agency lays out two year priority goals
Heads of the Texas Education Agency announce a two year plan with more than 362 million dollars in state and local costs. Eight priorities include funding 1959 acts like teacher pay raises kindergarten expansion and technical vocational programs while seeking changes in school finance formulas. More than 2.6 billion will be spent on public elementary and secondary education next year as about 2.725 million pupils are enrolled.
