Mr Higginbotham named president of the board of directors and reelected biennially. He guided the district through construction of nearly three quarters of a million dollars in flood control dams and other structures. He was a Baptist and member of Masonic and Eastern Star lodges. Survivors include his wife six daughters and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers listed. The article also notes Mrs Annie Wilkins conservation work in Bronte area and her nomination for Conservat ionist of the Year.
Mrs. Frank Keesee is visiting in Wellington this week with her mother Mrs. J C Scott. The two are staying at a local residence and plan social visits with friends in the area.
