Bronte High School Names Who's Who Selections
Bronte High School announced Who's Who selections led by Homemaking Kes Glenn agriculture Sidney Eubanks and more. New Student Council officers are Ronald Hooper president Larry Corley vice president Patricia Robinson secretary Frances Glenn treasurer Gary Stroebel parliamentarian and Dorothy Ruth Martin reporter. Cheerleaders for next year include Janet Caperton head with Sharon Mackey Su Lynn Henry Kreta Riker and Melody Holcombe. Mr and Mrs Ernest Isom of Shallowater visited over the weekend with the Marshall Hooper family.

Betty Charlene Sweet of Blackwell married Leo La Prade of Dallas on a Saturday evening in a rose covered arch ceremony officiated by the Reverend Nam, with Connie Trammell Penny of Dallas as matron of honor. The bride wore a peau de soie gown with Alencon lace and carried a white Bible. something old new blue borrowed completed the ritual. The event featured family and friends from Blackwell, Ponca City, Corpus Christi, and Dallas, with guests including G C Schwedler and Sherry, and Lydia and Vicki Dunnam among others. the couple plan to reside in Dallas after a reception at the Sweet home.

Miss Dana Eubanks bride elect of Ed L. Fontenot of San Angelo was honored with a bridal shower in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church. Guests registered and were served white cake squares and yellow fruit punch from a yellow and white decorated table.
