Bronte high school track team members earned several top finishes at the Jayton meet last Saturday. Manfred Thompson led with thirds in broad jump and other events, with Dale Freeman fourth in shot put and Roger Graves tied for third in high jump. The 440 relay reached finals but did not place. Bronte heads to San Angelo relays this weekend and district action at Robert Lee Wednesday at the new Steers track.
Mrs. A N Rawlings hosted the Methodist WSCS gathering Monday at her home with Mrs M Russell concluding the study on mandat e for missions. Attendants included Mmes Fred Brown B F Bridges J W Labenske Charles Ragsdale Edna Butner F S Higginbotham H O Whitt J A Percifull Russell Rawlings and Miss Lizzie Brock.
A sub district workshop on aging will be held in Robert Lee Recreation Hall on Friday March 28. On the program are Miss Minnie Bell and Dorothy Taylor extension specialists Donna Johnson Governors Committee on Aging Niss Thelma Casey and Roy Huckabee district extension agents.
