Judge Orders Change to Precinct Boundaries for Equal Representation
County Judge W W Thetford said the court must redraw precinct lines to equalize populations under a Supreme Court ruling. He expects action late summer after aligning voting precincts with new commissioner precincts and notes July August is the adjustment window. Land Bank Meet Draws 450 in Houston Session
J H Johnston of San Angelo attended the Federal Land Bank annual stockholders meeting in Houston. Delegates from 73 Texas associations and about 450 people heard President Herbert Dcker and speeches by W R Poage and Arthur A Smith. The bank offers long term farm loans with historically low rates. Winters Rites Held for Mrs. Jernagan
Mass was said Tuesday in Winters for Mrs. Lester L. Jernagan 56 who died Sunday in a Big Spring hospital after a long illness. Burial was in Winters Cemetery. She was born Sept 24 1912 in Little Rock Ark and married Sept 22 1941 in Oklahoma. The family moved from Bronte to Winters in 1962. Survivors include her husband a son a daughter a stepson four brothers three sisters and two grandchildren.

Bronte Track Team Heads to Eldorado Meet Saturday
Bronte High School track team will travel to Eldorado Saturday for a meet. They competed at Anson last Saturday with strong competition. Dale Freeman placed third in discus with a 121 foot throw.
