Diversity Club members met on March 1 with Mrs. E F Glen. She spoke and showed slides of a trip to the Orient last year. Refreshments were served to guests from Blackwell Bronte and to members including Flo Brown Margaret Brunson J F Hughes Cecil Kemp Helen Kirkland Margaret Martin Melvin Placke Otis Smith and Runey.
A large crowd attended the annual Pancake Supper Friday night at Robert Lee School cafeteria. About 500 people enjoyed hot pancakes with syrup bacon milk and coffee from 5 to 8 pm. Sponsors were Robert Lee Lions Club and Coke County 4-H. Proceeds fund community projects.
Mrs Jenny Mathews nee Kathy Glascock will be honored with a bridal shower Tuesday March 12 at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Chaunch. Time was left out of invitations.
E A Baugh, resident of Stanton View Miami, turns 86 celebrated by his daughter Mrs J F Hughes and family in Stanton. Attendees included Mr and Mrs Eugene Baugh and Mr and Mrs C W Gilmore with the Hugheses. Birthday cake and punch were served to patients and nurses at the nursing home.

The Sorosis Study Club will convene Tuesday March 12 at 7 30 p m in the home of Mrs Noah Prouist Jr. The notice calls members to attend at the private residence.
