Steve Williams and J W Caudle won first place in the second flight of the Robert Lee Partnership Golf Tournament. They shot 147 to prevail over Roy Stout and Clint Low who finished third with 149. The event drew 60 teams (120 players) with more than $2,000 in prizes and featured a barbeque supper after the 18 hole qualifying round. Roland Howard of San Angelo was medalist with 71 and Sonny Perez of San Angelo won the championship flight.
Mr and Mrs Ronnie Lee of Waco spent the weekend with their parents Mr and Mrs Norman Riker and Mr and Mrs Clyde Lee in Robert Lee. They were joined by friends Mr and Mrs Gerald Haddock of Waco as Ronnie attended the local golf tournament.
