Dr J E Nicholson of Dallas arrives in Bronte to open a chiropractic and wellness office offering massages and radionics. He plans a free clinic from June 27 to July 1 and reports a strong first week with many local visitors, declaring Bronte and its region as a community he intends to stay and grow with.
Tennyson Baptist church members announce their annual revival beginning Friday night July 3 and running as determined by church leaders. Pastor Rev M O Row of Gouldbush will lead singing with Rev Collings Webb of Plains Texas to preach. Webb praised as evangelist and speaker invites all to attend.
Remains of a local figure kept faith with church duties as relatives gather for funeral. Surviving brother Geo We Crume of Bronte and four sisters Mrs Jamie Newton Crusseut Mrs Lizzie Waters Cisco Mrs Eva Stone Plainview and Mrs Lillie Marshall Santa Anna attended. Frank Keeney led arrangements.
A community appeal asks residents to write Johnnie from Bronte and nearby areas. Set Tuesday, June 30 for letters or cards to boost morale as he recovers in a distant hospital. The note encourages letters from aged, mothers, and youth alike.
