Donna Jean Jameson to Wed Joe Russell Ash at Ranch Home

The couple will marry at 7 30 p m today at the bride's parents ranch near Silver. Ash recently graduated from Texas Tech in Lubbock. Franklin returned home two days from Ft Bliss to visit his mother. Otis Smith entered Shannon Hospital in San Angelo for medical examination.

Hunter Strain Low Bidder On Precinct Road

Coke County Construction Co of San Angelo received the contract to build 6.75 miles of new paved highway in Precinct No. 1 with a bid of 100 314 90. The firm owned by Hunter Strain edged five other bids, Engineers had estimated around 103000. The road runs from the south side of the Colorado River Bridge near Silver southeast to the old road at the Scott Smith property corner.

Millican Road Bridge Project Advances in Oil Field Area

The line between Precincts 1 and 3, about 3 miles north of Highway 158 near Millican, will host a new road and bridge system linked to the oil field. A $245,000 bond funded this effort. five 10 by 10 foot reinforced concrete bridges, two 8 by 8 foot concrete bridges, and large iron culverts will be built. Construction starts in 2–3 weeks with a completion target in October.
