Tennyson HD Club to Be Organized
Miss Vernemma Freeman county home demonstration agent asks women in the Tennyson community to meet at 3 p.m. in August at the school house to organize a home demonstration club. She will lead the gathering and help set up the club, urging all interested women to attend.
Youth Fellowship to Lead Sunday Evening Service
The Youth Fellowship will conduct the entire evening service at the Methodist Church this Sunday at eight o'clock. They voted to make it a monthly affair, with adults urged to support the youth. Church School at 10 A.M. and Morning Worship at 8 P.M.
Tile Top Tables Studied by Club
Members and visitors of the Hayrick WHO club attended a demonstration on tile top tables at Gladys Waldrop’s home. A table was crafted from broken tile. Mrs. Pat Rives and Mrs. Waldrop led the event with five members and ten visitors present. The next meeting is September 1 with Mrs. J W Labenske. no August meetings. The Coke County WHO club encampment is August 3 and 4.

Supt J J Carroll announced Jack Price of Santa Anna has accepted the Bronte schools head coaching position for the coming year. Price, a Howard Payne University graduate, is a veteran of five years in the armed forces with four years overseas and was among the section’s most outstanding athletes.
