In a Saturday ceremony in Bronte 75 guests watched Wanda Kirkland daughter of Mr and Mrs H M Kirkland wed Les Caperton son of Mr and Mrs E L Caperton The Rev A Lin Loeffler officiated at Bronte First Methodist Church The wedding featured white dacron garments blue accessories and a white bouquet The couple plans to move to Lubbock in September where Caperton will resume studies at Texas Tech This was a formal family occasion with matron of honor Mrs Kenneth Bradbury and best man Matthew Caperton among the bridal party The reception followed in the church Fellowship Hall

WSCS Meets in Home Of Mrs. Geo. Thomas
The WSCS held a regular session at the home of Mrs. George Thom as on Monday July 8. Mrs. Thom as and Mrs. B. E. Modgling led the day’s program The Heart of a Stranger depicted lives of youths from foreign countries and the discrimination they face. Participants dressed to represent countries included Mrs. Clifford Clark Mrs. Lin Loeffler Mrs. C. J. Robbins and Mrs. Jim Rasca. Frosted cakes were served to members guests and the hostess.
