Austin July 8 Dr Geo W Cox State Health Officer warns polio incidence in Texas exceeds seven year median urging public cooperation to prevent spread. He calls for avoiding visits to homes with suspected cases and rapid diagnosis, notes insect transmission not proven but sanitation helps. He cites early symptoms and advises immediate physician contact and 21 day isolation if diagnosed.
Farmers are urged to submit estimates and soil building practices for 1943 planted crops to the Coke County A C A Office. Seventy percent have reported. thirty percent remain. Idle farms should inform the county office for proper action.
