Texas voters urged to register before January 31
Secretary of State Martin Dies Jr issued a January 31 deadline last call for Texans 21 and over to register at county tax offices or deputies. Those over 60 in small towns or rural areas must re register annually. Young people turning 21 in 1970 may register before their birthday. Several parties and civic groups are driving to top 4 million registered voters.
