Texas Agri-Tour unit to visit Coke County during pageant
The 56 floor long Agri-Tour slide show will visit Bronte on June 3 and Robert Lee that afternoon as part of a statewide tour to showcase Texas fibers. The presentation by Mr and Mrs Jess Mbreland is open to the public and travels with a narrated color slide program. The tour promotes high quality Texas agricultural products and fiber production. It continues to Sterling City on June 4.

The district reports 308724.40 in total funds and 285089.09 in disbursements with 4278.34 in payables leaving 19356.97. The bond note shows 297000.00 owed of a 325000.00 issue from 1965.

Miss Manuela Reyes daughter of Mr and Mrs Manuel Reyes of Bronte married George Eubanks in a Saturday home ceremony February 14. Rev Wayne N Stout Baptist minister officiated. The bride wore a white silk crepe gown with silk illusion sleeves. attendants included the bride’s sister and siblings of the groom. Both families reside in Bronte.

Thetford Heads Easter Seal Drive for Crippled Children
Judge W W Thetford, Easter Seal Representative for Coke County, leads the annual Easter Seal Appeal. Letters go out this week as the society offers rehabilitation services including physical therapy speech therapy and equipment loans to help disabled persons. The 1970 campaign runs through Easter Sunday March 29.

In the Rawlings multipay north of Bronte Humble Oil & Refining Co No 8 R F Butner completed in the upper Jennings. It marks the ninth pay in the field with a daily potential of 122 barrels of oil and five barrels of water. Production via a 13 64 inch choke perforations at 65 122 136 feet. Location near Section 397 Br tissue. Other pays include Cambrian and Palo Pintio. Ellenburger production north of the field is linked to Bronte multipay.
