Funeral services held for Bob Patterson 81
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday for Bob Patterson 81 a Coke County resident and retired stock farmer. Rev Bill Beaty conducted services and burial was in Robert Lee Cemetery under Williams Funeral Home. He died at 7:15 a.m. Monday at his Robert Lee home after a two month illness. He was born December 20 1883 in Lamar County and moved to Coke County in 1889. He married Ninnie Modglin in 1906 she died in 1961. Surviving include his second wife Emma three sons Herman of Big Spring R C of Robert Lee and Eddie of San Angelo three daughters Mrs Sidney Compton Jr of Colorado City Mrs Crowley Harmon of Robert Lee and Mrs Aubrey Denman of Bronte 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers Homer Carwile Finnell Smith Floyd Harmon W W Thetford C B Jacobs and Linzie McDorman.

Convicts to Give Program Here
Four convicts from the State Prison at Huntsville will speak at Bronte and Robert Lee school auditoriums on Tuesday February 28. Sponsored by local law enforcement Texas Department of Corrections and Youth Council, the program aims to illustrate crime and punishment to students from Blackwell Norton and Silver.
