Caperton elected president of Coleman Chamber of Commerce

R T Caperton formerly of Bronte was elected president of the Coleman Chamber of Commerce. The meeting adopted a resolution urging water conservation and support for regional storage projects including Pecan Bayou Lake Brownwood Stacy dam Robert Lee and similar plans in West Texas.

New Daughters Join Hornbeck Family

Mr and Mrs R H Hornbeck welcome two daughters to their home Novella age four and Cleon age seven who has enrolled in first grade at Bronte school where Hornbeck serves as band director for the Bronte schools.

Brownie Troop 206 Holds Regular Meeting at Church

Brownie Troop 206 met at the Church of Christ on Monday afternoon for a regular meeting. Mrs. B J Luckett spoke on Brownies Around the World. Sixteen members and leaders Mrs. Bill Moody and Mrs Luckett were served refreshments.

Miss Judith Smith spent the weekend in Fort Worth attending the Fat Stock Show and rodeo event reflecting local agricultural fair activities and social engagements in the city.

Mrs Henry Leads Bible Club Meeting at Temple Home

Mrs Henry presided at a Bible game and dessert gathering hosted by Mrs J T Henry last Thursday at her Temple home. Attendees included Cecil Kemp R C Laes well O J R McQueen Wade Rees Otis Smith George Thomas Flo res Glenn and Henry. The group planned a Feb 11 meeting with Mrs Warnock Hipp noting Mrs Curlee remains hospitalized but improving.
