Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Fuller of Austin spent the weekend here with his parents Rev. and Mrs. J. E. Fuller. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Price and Tommy came down from Lubbock for a weekend visit with relatives and friends here.
A local hospital notes daily patient movements from Jan 19 to Feb 2 with multiple admissions and discharges. Notable items include several named patients, a birth at 6 20 p m to Mrs Cunningham, and a carrot class judging feature at a fair or show.
Joe Russell Ash of Bronte and four other Texas Tech students represented Tech at the Intercollegiate Stock Judging Contests in Denver Colorado January 15 16. Tech finished fourth overall and second in breeding animals and beef cattle. Ash scored 854 placing 16th individually and seventh among 75 entrants on beef. Stanley Anderson assistant professor coached the team on the five day trip.
Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Robertson of Haskell visit with former Bronte ties while employed by Stanolind Oil Co. A. V. Rutherford of Uvalde comes for a weekend visit with his mother Mrs. Mary Rutherford and relatives. Billy Wayne Hipp spends several days with parents Mr. and Mrs. W. Hipp before returning to Texas Tech College in Lubbock for the second semester.
