Weekend revival at Maverick Baptist church opens
A weekend revival begins Friday night at Maverick Baptist Church with prayer services at 7:30 p.m. and preaching at 8. Rev. John Dwiggins of Wilmeth Baptist Church will preach, assisted by Rev. Arthur Sonnenberg. Sally Harris will lead the song service with Mary Ann Harris at the piano. Everyone is invited.

Ranch sale in Texas transfers Oregon to McCutchen
The old Rumbie ranch near Abilene, also known as the McCutchen place, was sold to McCutchen by Henry Tyler of San Angelo. The late Mrs. Tyler and Mrs. Jones of Abilene are sisters. About 900 ewes were included, with six wells capable of 100 gallons per minute and additional water found by workers. Mineral rights were split, no minerals sold but leased for oil. no drilling yet. McCutchen has not announced improvement plans.
