Coke County high school students will join a Career Day at Bronte School auditorium starting 9:30 AM. Sponsored by Texas A&M Extension Service, Robert Lee and Bronte High Schools, the event features C E McCoy, John E Robbins, L D Vincent and a military planning talk, with group consultations in the afternoon.

Heavy rain blanketed the Bronte area with up to 3 inches reported south of town by Joe Rawlings and Joe Boatright. Bronte itself saw 1% inches and nearby farms recorded 1.2 inches at J. B. Mackey’s northeast location, 4 inches at Wylie Ranch, and 1 inch at Edward Cumbi’s north of town.
