Limited Voting Law Explained for New County Residents
Voters moving into Coke County on or after November 4 1967 must vote between April 15 and 30 at the county clerk office. New law allows certain long term residents to vote on statewide issues if they reside in the state over a year but requires in person voting at the clerk’s office. Sick disabled or absent residents may vote by mail or email and office hours are 8 am to 12 noon and 1 to 5 pm weekdays.

Wildcat Oil Drill Announced in Runnels County
A wildcat well was announced last Friday in Runnels County three miles northwest of Norton. The 5000 foot rotary drillsite is Keith D. Graham et al of Midland No. 1 Wendell Cope on a 200 acre lease. Drillsite lies 467 feet from the south and west lines of Section 1 H&GN Survey A 270.
