Simpson Brothers will receive a plaque next Tuesday during a Ladies Night program planned by the Robert Lee Silver Lions Club. The brothers are named Coke County Soil Conservationists of the Year for their cooperation with the Coke County Soil Conservation District. The program will also show the film Beautiful America by W. E. Jacoby on soil and water conservation efforts.

Mrs. James B. Childers 86 of Sweetwater died Saturday in Simmons Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were at Highland Heights in the Sweetwater cemetery. Born April 11 1881 in San Saba County she married May 7 1901 in Shep and lived in Sweetwater since 1945. Survived by husband four daughters four sons 32 grandchildren 43 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
