157 Grocers Sue Safeway Over Price War Damages
In Abilene on April 4 a federal suit seeks 166000 dollars in damages from Safeway Stores Inc. filed by a lawyer representing 157 independent grocers across Taylor and nearby counties plus a permanent injunction to halt price cutting below wholesale and distribution costs. Raymond F. Day seeks 10000 dollars. the others seek 1000 dollars each.
