Texas Parks and Wildlife Department reports 932 game, fish, and water safety violations cleared in February 1969, up from 838 in February 1968. Violations include 508 hunting cases, 118 fishing cases, 25 commercial fishing, and 76 water safety. total state revenue from fines and arrest fees reaches 25,857.99.
The Concho Valley Council drive in Bronte collected 511 dollars not including sustaining members. No drive will occur in Bronte again until next Spring. Harry K. Morris, chairman, thanks all workers and contributors.
Marla Rees a Texas Tech student in Lubbock spent Easter with her mother Mrs. Louvenia Rees. Mike Brockett of Lubbock also visited at the Rees home. San Angelo residents Mr. and Mrs. J. Robert Knierim and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Lyons attended Easter Sunday gatherings hosted by local families. Mrs. Onie Adams birthday dinner drew ten children at Midland. Royce L. Lee, UT Austin student, spent Easter vacation at home with his parents.
