Vetal Flores Speaks To Sorosis Club Members

Vetal Flores was guest speaker at the Sorosis Club meeting hosted by Mrs. John Harris on Friday night April 1. He urged reading as vital beyond school and in daily life, calling it the most important yet most abused subject from elementary to college. Members joined a reading discussion and refreshments were served to the Flores couple and several attendees.

Fort Worth residents Mr. and Mrs. O B Cook and daughter Mary visited the Clarks and the Cooks Friday through Sunday. San Angelo guests included Mr. and Mrs. Claude Duffy Ernest James and Mrs. Malone. A WHO meeting in Robert Lee drew Mrs. J C Boatright and Mrs. Gene Halamicek. The Tennyson sewing club met for an all day session with Mrs. Charlie Brown. Birthday dinner honored Mrs. T G Gleghorn with Doyle Gleghorn Ollie Mae and Gary visiting from Miles. Golden Wedding party for Warren Harris in San Angelo.
