Bronte Opens New Water Well To Boost Local Supply
Bronte authorities report a new water well flowing at 1700 gallons per hour as of last Wednesday. Located 40 to 50 feet north of the main well near the river, the 7 by 7 foot shaft reaches about 25 feet deep and may be drilled to 30 with a large basin. Jetting will improve flow by creating openings in crevices, linking the new and old wells to reduce pumping.
