Tompkins Installs New Mechanic Here At Home Motor Co
E. C. Tompkins of Lake Charles Louisiana begins work this week as head mechanic in charge of the repair department at the Home Motor Co owned by R W Rees and Robert Knierim. He will move his wife and two sons Ray and E C Jr to Bronte after living arrangements are set. Tompkins, raised in Liberty County Texas, previously ran his own shop and was head service man for Wink Motor Co. in Wink Texas. He plans to settle in Bronte and meet locals at the shop. He notes oil boom influx and civic interest in Louisiana.
