The Old Prayer Book and Bristol Parish History
A Bristol church scholar recounts the fate of an Episcopal Prayer Book from 1774 to 1789, its use during the Revolution, and its final retirement likely by Bishop Griswold. The volume survives through restorations and a later memorial noting its faded pages and alterations as American church life evolved.
