Historic St Michael’s Service Reflections On Early Colonial Church
The report recounts a 7:30 service at St Michael’s Church with readings by Rev. Frederick H. Steenstra and Rev. Albert Crabtree. It notes a 1774 Book of Common Prayer gifted by Mrs. Anne Usher, and sketches the church’s pre revolutionary ties to England, the Usher rectorship, and the 1775 deaths and wartime fire that shuttered St Michael’s.
