Bristol Fire Hazard on Town Dump Prompted Legal Action
Complainants contended a persistent fire risk on the Minturn Farm dump endangered homes and woods near Bristol. A September 16 1948 blaze drew four fire companies as drought persisted. They sought a protective plan and possible restraining order if the town did not curb burning. Meetings between engineers were proposed to devise controls.
