Town Council met and announced no rubbish collection in October. Department of Public Works will use good days for highway maintenance with colder weather approaching.
Bristol Townies and Warren Town play to a 0–0 draw before about 1000 fans at Guiteras Field. Bristol shows more first downs and yardage but cannot finish, with injuries hampering its offense and Warren tallying several key goal line stands to preserve the stalemate.
Tree Warden Joseph C. Kinder will present an estimate on town tree conditions at 8 tonight in the Belvedere Hotel Parlors. Park Commissioner John P. Marshall sponsors the open meeting to form Save Bristol's Trees with notes on replacing dead trees and electing a permanent chairman secretary and treasurer.
Bristol junior and senior high pupils start a religious training program. Guneral School sent 461 students to churches for supervised instruction, about twenty minutes before two. Senior High has 255 students taking the afternoon session with parental notes required.
The Col lins and Aikman Girls Club plans its annual banquet for Saturday evening with over 65 members and guests expected. Membership cards were distributed and plans were made to hold the next meeting on Thursday at 7 45 at the GOP Headquarters at Hope and State Streets. Mrs Earl G Sturdevant thanked the workers captains and drivers who aided in bringing out the large vote in the primary.
