The Triton Club in Quebec Woods A Frontier Sporting Retreat

In Sept 1899 the Bristol Phenix reports on the Triton Game and Fishing Club in Quebec surrounding a vast forest preserve. Members hunt and fish a vast wilderness accessed by a new rail line with log cabins, a Swiss style club house, and a private station. The setup supports hunting, fishing, and rustic summer stays for Americans and locals, with guards, guides, and regulated access ensuring preserved privileges.

Philadelphia man John Oliver recounts a near fatal illness with yellowing skin and sunken eyes. After three doctors gave up, Electric Bitters improved him in a few weeks and he credits the remedy with saving his life. Sold for 50 cents at J H Young & Co's drug store.

Naval Reserve Torpedo Company Fair At Hope Street Parade

The armory fair draw a steady crowd since opening last Wednesday. Delegates from Babbitt Post No. 15 six A. R. attended Friday. Saturday saw three fire companies and fire department engineers visit. Last night featured a large turnout with St Marys T A Society, Bristol Cornet Band, Council Dom Luiz Felippe and Divino Espirito Sancto Associo Portuguese groups marching through Hope Street to music from the band. Hope Street was crowded and red fire lit the night.
