Old New England house and Fairbanks furniture tale
A 1639 Dedham house still stands under elms with moss covered roof and original furniture in possession of one Fairbanks family for two centuries. A French Academy report praises sulfuric carbon as a safe vine cure, while a new aboriginal group on Botel Tobago is described as peaceful and ignorant. New York letters note resort season ending, the American Institute Fair opening, Captain Thompson’s death, and a comical weekly Chic with drawings by Keppler.
