Navy Announces Dec 9 NROTC Exam for Seniors
Vice Admiral W R Smedberg III announced the 16th annual national NROTC exam for eligible high school seniors and graduates to be held December 9. Applications must be mailed by November 17. The program funds tuition and books, provides a $600 annual retainer, and offers naval officer commissions after four years.

First Nunes Family Reunion Held at Harbor View Ave Home
The first annual Nunes family reunion took place at the home of Mr and Mrs Henry Ferguson on Harbor View Ave this Sunday September 10. About 100 attended including four generations. The youngest attendee was Paula Ferretti six months old from Riverside Rhode Island and the oldest was Mrs Rose Gallagher of Colonial Rd, mother of Town Councilman Joseph Gallagher.
