Staff Sgt. William H Correia twenty four, of Warren, Massachusetts, is missing in action over Saipan. A Warren High School graduate, he joined the army in 1940 and served with the RI National Guard. He was a tail gunner on a B 29 and had completed his thirtieth mission before the loss. He is survived by his wife Mary and a seven month old son.

Mrs Mary Arruda of 97 Franklin Street near Hope and Oliver streets was treated after a two car collision caused by John Marinho 56 of 7 Third Street who admitted dozing at the wheel. Mrs Arruda and her husband were riding when the Marinho car swerved and struck the parked vehicle.

Tragic Drowning of 2 Year Old Robert Morrison at Fire Station Ramp
A two year old, Robert Morrison, died yesterday in an accidental drowning at the Ever Ready Fire Station rear ramp. His 4 year old brother James watched as rescuers, including Frank Andrade and John Barry, performed CPR. Despite efforts by officials and doctors, death was pronounced by Dr. A Paul Bruno. The family, with father recently discharged from the Army, prepared for prayers and burial at St Marys Cemetery.

Catholic Girls Club Plans Fall Schedule and Dinner
