Fatal Auto Accident Claims Providence Man
George F. Lynch aged 35 of 23 Valley Street Providence died at Rhode Island Hospital from a fractured skull after being struck by a roadster on Main Road during a rainstorm Tuesday night. John J. Sheridan of 242 Morris Avenue Providence was jailed on $2000 bail for manslaughter. Miss Ada Bengaff 25 of 202 Longfellow Street Providence was badly cut and later discharged. Sheridan and Robert ONeill of Warren were in the car with him. Lynch’s car had broken down and they were walking when the unseen driver hit them.
