Travers Named Chair of 1958 Alumni Banquet Committee
Edward P. Travers of 183 High St has been named chair of the pro Tam committee for the 1958 Associated Alumni banquet of Rhode Island College of Education. The event will be in the new college cafeteria on Mount Pleasant Avenue Providence on Sunday October 26 at 6 o clock. Travers is a faculty member at Bristol Senior High School.

Attendance At Church Barbecue Sets Attendance At 320
About 320 people attended the Chicken Barbecue on Saturday afternoon on the lawn of First Congregational Church sponsored by the church. Mrs Harry Kebrek chaired the event calling it a huge success. The Old Fashioned auction followed, chaired by Raymond Gruenwald and Parker Ludden, also deemed very successful, in the De Wolf Room at 730. The Yankee Village Bazaar is planned for November 8 with Mrs L Richard Tilden as chair.
