Industrial Trust Opens New Bristol Building Monday
The Bristol branch of Industrial Trust will open its new Colonial style building at 601 Hope Street next Monday. An open house will be held tomorrow from 3 to 7 p.m. to inspect the modern structure, which replaces the old Rogers Free Library site. The bank’s staff has grown from three to eighteen and the facility showcases updated equipment while retaining historic safes.

Two Accidents Reported in Quick Succession Last Night
Local police investigated two minor crashes within a 30 minute span. No injuries were reported. At 8 15 p m Norman E Bernard 48 of Naomi Street said a car struck his left rear fender as it pulled away from the curb in front of 700 Hope Street. A second collision at 8 45 p m involved Marie P Lemor 20 of 217 Vernon Street Warren striking the Seyez vehicle after he pulled from a side street on Hope Street north of Peck Avenue. Minor damage to both cars. Officers Frank Almedia and Louis DiLauro investigated both incidents.

Burnside building facelift provides new floors
The Burnside Council Chamber and town clerk's office received finishing touches on a floor facelift. Pinhero Floor Covering Co laid asphalt tile on two floors hallway stairs and landing with chrome aluminum nosing. Work occurred at night since the rooms were in use, and began in early August.
