Women’s Club to Hear Russian History Talk
The Bristol Women's Club meets Monday at 8 pm at the YMCA to hear Howard C Olsen discuss Some Aspects of Russian History. Olsen, East Providence High School history chair, has Brown University ties and leads Rhode Island social studies groups. The hospitality committee includes Mrs Castriotta Massano Tammaro and Gallo, with refreshments planned and the next year's program preview. Shortages of Materials Delay Water Tank Covers Plan
Bristol County Water Company will delay installing steel covers on Bay View Avenue and Hope Street tanks due to material shortages. Manager Fred P. Stradling said steel deliveries won’t be promised for less than 12 months and the $13,000 project may wait until next summer. The town council heard the report and noted measures to prevent recurrence and the addition of excelsior filters each spring.

Colt Football Team To Make Debut Friday
The 1947 Colt football squad will debut next Friday in the Schoolboy Football Round Robin at Cranston Stadium. The 8 pm event raises funds for the Rhode Island Interscholastic Injury Fund with matches Mt. Plans are underway to form a Bristol chapter of the Disabled Veterans of America.
