Bristol Yacht Club Regatta Draws 114 Racers in 16 Classes
One of the Bristol Yacht Club’s most successful regattas saw 114 sailors compete across 16 classes with 25 other boats watching. Strong winds kept crews down, but luncheon and a dance honored visiting skippers and crews. Regatta committee chair J Peter Geddes led the event with assistance from William H Angevine and others.

Socialites Plan Charity Film Night at Pastime Theatre
The Italian Socialites Women's Club will stage a film revival of Magnificent Obsession at the Pastime Theatre on Sunday September 24 to support the charity fund. Irene Dunne and Robert Taylor star in the feature as the group continues its two year service aiding needy families and funding other local charities.
