The Rhode Island National Guard Battery C of the 243rd Coast Artillery will double drill activity to twice weekly with weekend maneuvers at Fort Adams Newport and winter camp duties. Ledoux Escapes But Is Recaptured
Harold Ledoux a 17 year old Bristol youth, committed to Lockanosset by Judge William T O'Donnell to await trial in Superior Court for breaking and entering in the daytime and larceny. He was one of five youths who escaped from the institution yesterday and one of two caught in North Attleboro last night in a stolen automobile. Ledoux began his escape weeks ago after wrecking the General Ambrose F Burnside home with five others and stealing $2400 in jewelry from Rev Albert Larned's Boston visiting home, which he later admitted to police.
